My Review
I want to first start off by letting everyone know how much I love the cover of this book.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  Being one of those people that buy books based on their covers, I definitely would have bought it just based on that.  Surface was a riveting story full of secrets, lies, mystery, action and love.  I have always loved books that focused on mermaids and sirens so I was very excited to read this one.   The lore in this book was interesting.  I was drawn into a whole new world with a lot of twists and surprises.  Tiffany's writing was beautiful and very descriptive.  I was able to visualize everything that was going on in the story.  The characters were complex and well developed.  It is important for characters to grow and start on the path of who they are meant to be.  I wasn't disappointed here at all.  Theia and Luc definitely show growth in this story and I can't see where their road leads them.  I adored Theia and Luc.  I am a romance junkie so I am a little picky on the romance.  The romance between them felt as if it was insta-love and at times I don't like that.  I love seeing relationships grow and develop into something more.  The insta-love in this story wasn't bad at all.  I still loved their relationship and it did grow into something meaningful.
Surface had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.  There were some twists and turns in this book that I was not expecting at all.  I was shocked at some of the things that happened in this book.  I love where the story is headed though so I can't wait to see where Tiffany takes this story next.  Surface is a great beginning to the start of a new fantastic series.  This is a book that I will definitely be rereading.  Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down.  The world-building just drew me in.  Some of the new things that Tiffany created were funny but very cool.  This book is a must read!!!!!  Great job Tiffany!!!!!

AUTHOR BIO
Tiffany Daune doesn't get why people want to grow up or why anyone would ever stop eating candy. Her purse is filled with books, lip gloss and a few pieces of Lego bricks. She writes best with a dish of chocolate chips on hand and finds licorice makes a better straw than plastic.

She lives on an island and believes mermaids may be raiding her candy stash, thoughshe hasn't caught them, yet.

Surface is her first novel and pairs well with gummy sharks.
